The church prefers to move forward doing business as usual yet we profess to serve a God who is a God of constant surprise. In our attempt to tame Gold we force Him into the small box that our minds can envelop and wonder why we do not grow. It is not that God is ever-changing it’s just that our understanding of him will always change because he’s too big the grasp in an instant or even in a lifetime.
We gather as a church not because we have it right but, rather, because we are all equally a mess and in need of grace. We need God.
